![]() ![]() Among other thing they've fundamentally change how they add heroes to the game. It basically feels like OW2 is just a relaunch of OW in order to redo the monetization scheme. Lets not ignore how wildly unpopular with the community Blizzard's way of handling OW2 has been. Future heroes will all be level 55 battlepass unlocks. You get it same as the OW1 hero additions if you are an older player as long as you log in within the first 9 weeks. New players have to grind to 55 on the battle pass to get her, dozens of hours of gameplay that returning players have to look forward to for heroes after her. ![]() They have said you can still unlock heroes after their season ends so at least they're not going all in on the FOMO. Personally I don't like that heroes are part of the battle pass at all because it will lead to situations where one team has access to them while the other team might not, even if it's only for a while. It may be a ridiculous amount of play time, or not. What we don't yet know is how much effort it takes to get to tier 55 on the free pass. This is all detailed in blizzard's latest blog post. If you do not, she can be unlocked at tier 55 on the free battle pass, or immediately upon buying the premium battle pass. If you own overwatch 1, she will be free on launch. Now let's just all hope she's not locked behind some ridiculous high requirement on the battlepass. ![]()
